Our Vision

What we do
We Promote sustainable farm practices to ensure long term development of agriculture.
-
Increase yield and quality of crops.
-
Reduce the use of chemicals to minimize pollution and further degradation of farmland.
-
Recover Marginal land to arable farmland for food and production.
Our Impacts
Farmland Preparation
We use our technology to efficiently loosen soil from 30 cm to 100 cm while not disturbing any soil layers. Thus, we improved water holding capacity, soil aeration and micro-organism activities.
This treatment lasts 2-3 years or 6-8 harvests in the Philippines. From years of research and mandate we have successfully increased yields on cassava, rice, sugar cane, yam, etc. from 10-50%
Research
Cassava Project, 2012
-
Due to increased yield, BFI cassava farmers make an  additional income of over USD1,000 per hectare by selling fresh cassava.
-
Further drying into cassava chips gives an additional income of USD 700 per hectare (total USD1,700 per hectare).
-
15 hectares of cassava plantation gives contractual farm jobs of about 1,800 man-days.
-
Every 15 hectares of cassava plantation needs an estimated logistical expense of USD18,000 and an administrational expense of USD3,000, which also contributes to the local community.
